Get your nails done, get a blow-out and head to your favorite spa, boutique or fancy lunch spot. Today is 'Treat Yo Self Tuesday.' You are constantly busting your butt to please others, but today you get to give yourself some loving. My generation, Gen Y, also known as the "ADD Generation", is going non-stop. We work our selves to death, stress over everything and have the need to become extraordinary. Our drive to achieve our goals exceeds beyond just our education. Some of us are workaholics, working two to three jobs during school, or even after. While this is an amazing thing, we also need to take time to un-wind every so often. The independency that has been planted inside us from a young age, is the reason behind our motivated selves. I appreciate the fact that I have to be independent and take care of things myself, but sometimes this diva needs a break. To escape the pressures of life, I like to indulge in a nice lunch and grazing the racks in my favorite boutiques. I do not necessarily need to be with anyone, I can enjoy doing these things by myself. I think everyone should be able to do that. Some people believe you need to have people around you all the time, but it is equally as important to be content being alone at times. It gives you the opportunity to reflect on yourself, re-group and get your life together in the way you want it. Happiness can only come within, and not be something you expect from someone else to provide. When I reserve these relaxing days for myself, I like to look fabulous doing so. For today's look, I threw on my new favorite pink, chiffon Ted Baker blouse with Houndstooth shorts. This outfit makes me feel glamorous and powerful. Every woman needs an outfit like that in her wardrobe. While you are on your hustle penciling in appointments, just remember to schedule that relaxing day in your Kate Spade planner that you need to take.

Vacations bring excitement, thrill, relaxation and headaches. From packing everything you have in your closet to go on a six day life stress cleanse, knowing what to pack is crucial. My favorite part about vacations are the shopping trips. I try to pack light, knowing I will be spending most of my getaway time scouring the racks of beach-y boutiques and H&Ms hoping to find unique merchandise that is only sold at that location. It's like something inside me thinks just because I got this boxy crop top in a California H&M, makes it super different than what I would've found back in Texas. Although the buyers have to choose merchandise according to each location, the products are very similar at every store. Even though I acknowledge this, I still fall victim to it every time. Recently I ventured on a week long fabulous Spring Break trip to Irvine, California with my best friend. For those un-familiar with Cali, Irvine is in Orange County. Since my bestie and I are polar opposites, she packed t-shirts and Nike shorts, while I filled two leopard duffle bags with my most glam outfits. I have to look fashionable everywhere I go, just incase a fashion executive wants to offer me a glamorous internship. I packed my new tribal skort, freshly bought nude sandals, high-wasted shorties and baby doll dresses. Oh, and most importantly, my ASOS high-wasted swimsuits. Through the duration of my trip, I managed to find shops on every beach and visited at least two shopping centers filled with danger for my bank account. I can say proudly, that I made some fabulous purchases and I regret none of them. The most essential items I bought were this linen tank pictured above and my $7 distressed jeans from H&M. I literally wear them every week. Find your essentials and take care of them. Happy vacationing, dolls!

Take this easy fashion infused outfit from daytime chic, to night-time chic by adding a few accessories. The combination of the jet black, snakeskin skinny jeans and the pop of pink chiffon blouse is the perfect edgy/feminine ensemble. These Seven For All Mankind black skinny jeans are my favorite pair of pants I have ever owned. Typically, I prefer a dress, skirt or breezy shorts to cover my body, but I literally wear these all the time. Seriously. I am obsessed with the edgy vibe they exude. Did I forget to mention I scored these babies for only $5 at Nordstrom Rack? Like, that's un-heard of. Another deal I managed to get my hands on was the pink chiffon piece, which only cost $16. I feel like the queen of bargains considering how little I was able to spend on this look. The daytime outfit can easily be transformed to a classy, modest but sleek look. Round up your gal pals and grab some cocktails, or be the chicest office queen at your next business meeting. Add a crisp, white blazer, drop earrings, a bright clutch and swap the sneakers for a fancy pair of studded heels. Command all eyes no matter where you display this look.

The Look: Pale blue baby-doll dress- Accents Boutique, Black leather jacket- Nordstrom, Leopard wedges- Aldo Shoes, Earrings- kjewelista.com

Dare to pair an edgy, leather biker jacket with a sweet, romantic baby doll dress. This look is my go-to GNO ensemble, perfect for a night out with your home-girls. My city chic outfit  brings out my inner downtown diva, and is Instagram approved. I purchased this fabulous, angelic dress from Accents Boutique before my trip to Cali. Although my beachy tan is fading, this dress looks fabulous on anyone, especially with a good steam. I still have leather fever from Fall 2015, so I say it is perfectly fine to get the most wear out of it while it's still breezy outside. I literally wear this jacket every week, it goes with everything and black is classic. The wedges were bought a couple years ago from a closing Aldo store, for only $20. I couldn't resist, even though my wallet was begging for mercy. The earrings were derived from my fellow merchandising student's e-commerce business, which I managed to score for just $5.00. This outfit is a win in my book.

Conquering the City in Style

                                                                  (Photography: Bruce LaMotte)

The Look: Black chiffon blouse- Francesca's Collections, Plaid skirt- Charlotte Russe, Studded Valentino inspired heels- Cicihot.com, Kate Spade New York tote- Nordstrom Rack, 70's inspired  purple pendent gold chain- Gran's closet, Aqua stud earrings- Francesca's Collections

Nothing says "I'm ready for business" like a classic, chiffon staple blouse. To say that I am obsessed with chiffon fabric would be a drastic understatement. I just can't get enough. Chiffon can go from casual, to dressy with a few tweaks. Here, I've paired my chiffon blouse with a plaid, skater-skirt. The length of the skirt is perfect for the office, but can easily be translated in to a night out in the city. Typical business suits put me to sleep, so I had to create my version of  "business professional." Now, if you're planning on being a lawyer, an accountant or your office has a strict dress code, I would highly advise leaving this sexy-chic outfit for dinner with your girls or hubby. Since my career aspirations include becoming a fashion buyer, this outfit displays the right amount of classy and sassy while remaining uber-glam.
